ReDJ is great. It's working for my 301 redirects. But my 404 redirects aren't working.

I added ErrorDocument 404 / to the bottom of my .htaccess file.

I deleted the Italian page in 'Pages 404' in ReDJ manager. And I modified the English page. Still, I see the same, Joomla Standard 404 Page.

I cleared my cache. Still the same problem.

What's going on?

I too have the same problem, perhaps not quite understanding the full procedure of how to set up the custom Error 404 page.

I see there are two error 404 pages in the component, one in English and one in Italian, I deleted the Italian one.

When I looked at the coding of the English one, it's the same as the default Joomla Error 404 page.

I also created a custome 404 in article manager and entered the article ID into the redirect plugin and enabled it. But still the Joomla default error 404 page displays.

Can someone guide me through this procedure so I can do away with the default Joomla Error 404 and have a nice custom one.

The only error is that the ID you must enter in the plugin is the ID of the error page you create in the component. Here I've added two examples (Italian and English) that are exactly as the Joomla standard one with a little important difference (the email macro of the administrator that should be contacted).

You can create a new error page and also include an article inside. Then you need do add the ID of this item in the plugin.

The custom error allows you to put HTML code. So, just load a page your like, copy & paste HTML code into custom error page, then customize as you like (you have also some macros).
