I have this portal two and a half months.Many links have been posted in facebook,on forums and on search engines and we had activated the "Add suffix to URLs".
Now we decided to deactivate it and we maked the decision to move the items to new categories.
Example of an older URL: www.myportal.com/new/enterteimentitem/435-madonna-new-album.html

Example of an new URL i wont: www.myportal.com/new/music/435-madonna-new-album

Tell me what do I have to put exactly at the plug-in and what I have to write on the "details" on the "from Url" and to the "to Url" so I won't have any problems.

About the plugin just activate it but for now don't mess with options (leave default). Subsequently you can change to suit your needs...

About the redirect, let's start with a one-on-one redirect. For your example create an item as follow:

From URL: ^/new/enterteimentitem/435-madonna-new-album.html$
To URL: http://{siteurl}/new/music/435-madonna-new-album

I'm assuming you root is www.myportal.com. You should also use regexp and dynamic destinations to create many-to-many items. About this, maybe tomorrow I will release a detailed tutorial about ReDJ (...then everything will be clear...).

Hello again after 6 months

I downloaded the pdf and I want to ask you some question to make sure that I understand them.

1. If I want to redirect all the news from a section to another, like "mysite.com/news/music/" to "mysite.com/news/"
Do I have to write "^/news/music/*$" in one, and the other "http://{siteurl}/news/" right?
+ the custom 404 error page, doesn't work. These are my settings

Yes. With this you redirect all articles under /music to the news home.



The ID should not be the ARTICLE ID. You should create an error page under ReDJ component, and then use THIS ID.
