Am using your extension and am running into some issues I can't figure out.

I use to have a bunch of blogs under the subdomain
poproxnation.thekartel.com.

On my CPanel I set up a redirect for the subdomain and all wildcards to point to
thekartel.com/news/pop-rox-nation.html

This is where I'm having some trouble. I want all blogs under this previous subdomain to just point to
thekartel.com/news/pop-rox-nation.html

ie.
poproxnation.thekartel.com
poproxnation.thekartel.com/blogs
poproxnation.thekartel.com/blogs/1010/
poproxnation.thekartel.com/blogs/1010/index011.html

I tried variations of poproxnation.thekartel.com/*$ and such but it doesn't seem to work. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

I seemed to have noticed that I can't run two redirect extensions at once. Is that correct? It seems like it should work. The other extension makes it much easier for me to see an error come up, and then type in the correct URL it should go to, and then archive that error.

As such, I wanted this extension to run 1st.

Then I wanted your extension to run so that I can capture all remaining redirects that can be done through your dynamic redirects.

Yes.

ReDJ works using REQUEST_URI, which doesn't contain the domain part of the URL. So your item is wrong, you should drop the domain part.

If you want to redirect all the blog try this:



To redirect also the homepage, use an item where "From URL" is ^/$ (means start and end with /).

Now you have a Joomla site (with ReDJ) under thekartel.com, and from the CPanel you configure a lot of third level subdomains, and all of these are "served" by this Joomla site. And you would like to manage them as they are different requests from different sites (one Joomla, many sites).

Is this correct?

Yes, my question was for a specific subdomain. But I was going to apply that same concept to several subdomains I once had under one domain.

I don't want to use subdomains anymore, so I'm trying to redirect several URLS from before that were under a subdomain. So it would look like:

Pop.TheKartel.com/blog
would now point to
TheKartel.com/Pop/blog

If inside Pop.TheKartel.com there's Joomla+ReDJ you could redirect Pop.TheKartel.com/blog to TheKartel.com/blog, except if this domain (TheKartel.com) is THE SAME Joomla+ReDJ, just because you can't stop ReDJ to loop.

So, you should try with another solution that check also dor domain part. I'm checking if I can add this feature in the next ReDJ version (leaving compatibility with old ReDJ versions).
