the thread you sent me didnt help me solve the problem, at least not yet. Actually I cannot just disable Joomla SEF. Then all my URLs would change and that creates problems with Google.
I have commented out the code mentioned in the thread (in the .htaccess), but it sounds like I have to wait a while for the result to show. Will check that again tomorrow.
So when you talk about merging the various redirects, that would be done directly in the idtable file by copy/pasting all items in one php file, right?
That sounds like a very neat solution to the problem, much easier that doing it by hand. Actually, after the merging of the sites, I will have a large number of redirects to do. That is because after the new setup under one install, I will use Joomla SEF instead of SH404SEF (doesnt work with Joomfish), and that will change all my URLs.
So I'll make a list of all the old URLs, then make another one of the new URLs. Then I can create the necessary redirects directly in the table id file, correct? That would be so much easier.
