hi,
I just removed sh404sef from my site as it was creating so many problems and 404 pages, but i did have that for a couple months and had set up some 301 redirects to those new urls, now that i've removed it my site actually works again, but i do have 404 pages now from articles that were indexed in the last couple months and ones that were redirected and urls changed. I think there is a way to redirect the group of urls, as i read other similar posts on your forum, however i couldn't figure out exactly how to do it - what code to put where.
For example:
on my site this is one of the sh404urls;
intravelmag.com/in-depth/a-land-based-tour-in-the-galapagos
and this is the new url:
intravelmag.com/in-depth/610-a-land-based-tour-in-the-galapagos
so the only difference in most of them is the item id is added in the current format, but i have over 700 articles on my site, so can't change them one at a time.
1st question) how exactly would i do that in bulk?
2nd question-less important-if you have time) i also do have some custom url redirects that i've done in cpanel, for example:
www.intravelmag.com/travel-writer-contest
changed to:
www.intravelmag.com/submissions
is there any advantage of using ReDJ to do these custom redirects that i have to change one by one or should i just leave those in cpanel?
Thanks so much!
