I have just purchased the Enterprise version of ReDJ.

I can make a type 301 redirect work but not a 200 Internal redirect.

I am using 1and1 as host.

I am trying to create a redirect for www.c4id.org.uk/faqs
to
www.c4id.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=167&Itemid=31

I have added ErrorDocument 404 / to the end of the .htaccess file

I have FROM URL as /faqs
and the TO URL as www.c4id.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=167&Itemid=31

The result I get is Error 500 Internal server error.

I cannot see what more I can do!

all seems to be correct. Have you access to server log? You should check the message of 500 internal server error.

Anyway, I could check settings for you. If you trust send me a PM with a temporary account to your backend at info(at)sistemistica.it. Even a test environement is good for me.

I looked at

and was pointed to remocing the Comment in .htaccess on the line RewriteBase / in the following section:

# Uncomment following line if your webserver's URL
# is not directly related to physical file paths.
# Update Your Joomla! Directory (just / for root)

# RewriteBase /

Removing the comment has done the trick and now my internal redirect is working beautifully! I did see some less than beautiful remarks about 1 and 1 as a Jommla host though. Personally I have found them OK.
