This is my 2nd Joomla site. On the first one built a few months ago, I installed ReDJ version 1.5 and it works perfectly. On the 2nd site, I installed 1.5.3 - It wouldn't redirect anything. So, I uninstalled 1.5.3 and installed v.1.5. (Joomla 1.5) and still nothing will redirect: I get a 404 error Perhaps the error I get is a clue?

The requested URL /about.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

It was so easy the first time, but on this url it has been very frustrating. They are on the same server. The settings all seem identical.

Any advice would be appreciated.

let's solve! First, reinstall 1.5.3.

Then, send me a PM at info(at)sistemistica.it with the URL that doesn't work.

Maybe it's Apache that send you the response, so you should add

ErrorDocument 404 /

In the .htaccess file. Send me thsi too.

I added the "ErrorDocument 404 /" to the .htaccess file and ReDJ worked. It redirected perfectly. Thank you very much.

I wish I had submitted to the board sooner as yesterday I wasted a lot of time, changing settings, changing the way urls were written, changing things back, etc. I have heard it said that repeating the same thing over and over again with the same result is a definition of madness. Next time, I stop wasting my time and seek help.
