Hey guys!

I love how this works even thought I can't get it working yet. I understand http and error codes pretty good so that isn't an issue. What I am trying to accomplish is when a URL that doesn't exist is entered for my domain, a custom 404 page is presented to them.

my domains are funkyhousebeats.com and test.funkyhousebeats.com

if I type test.funkyhousebeats.com/this-page-doesnt-exist.html

I get a 500 internal error page instead of a 404 or custom 404 page. I have installed and enabled both the component and the plugin. I have the settings to use a custom 404 error page. I have access to the .htaccess file and I have already edited it for other purposes.

Can anyone help me out a bit? I really appreciate it.
