I have a question regarding usage of this excellent extension - if it's possible to solve this problem with either Community or Enterprise version my client we'd be more than happy to purchase Enterprise edition. Since I've been using Re DJ on several projects now I'm hoping we can also use it for this specific site.

Our problem is following:

We have a Joomla / K2 site with several hundred Joomfish translated articles and we decided to switch from Joomfish to core K2. We plan to "extract" translations and add them as new K2 items with altered IDs. With that, we will need to redirect old Joomfish URLs to new K2 items. Please review sample URLs below.

Current:

www.domain.com/eng/catname/subcat/item/1234

Desired new URL:

www.domain.com/eng/catname/new-subcat/item/11234


We have approximately 30 categories which we need to redirect in such matter. Would it be possible to make a redirection to work like this:

- to apply "new-" prefix to all subcategories that are stored in "/catname" AND to apply "1" prefix to ID number


I was able to do something similar with Community version:

http://{siteurl}/en/catname/new-subcat/item/1{pathltrim /rdt/en/catname/subcat/item/} which results in proper URL but only for one subcategory, and we have 30-ish of those.

if I get the question right, you would find a way to do this with just one ReDJ item rule and not with 30.

The Enterprise edition has a regmatch macro for destinations that allow to extract any part of the source url, so it could be possible to do this. THe most important thing is that alk info you need are present in the source URL. If this is not the case, we should add a specific macro for your need (e.g. to extract the lang JoomFish variable). This is already planned for future versions.
