I am getting a problem loading page error. Here is what is happening:


From: /ferpa$
To: http://{siteurl}/student-life/services/registrar/ferpa

When I try to go to /ferpa it says:
/ferpa in the URL
and
The page isn't redirecting properly

Also, if I try to go to the TO Url it also says its not redirecting properly. So I can't even see the page now.


Same thing is happening to other pages where the FROM: has an identical word that is in the TO:

To avoid this just add a caret:

From: ^/ferpa$

This should solve the redirection loop.

I tried that and now I get 404 not found page.

I also added this to my .htaccess

ErrorDocument 404 /

The destination URL MUST exists. Is it so?

I mean, if you call this (replacing {siteurl} with your domain):

http://{siteurl}/student-life/services/registrar/ferpa

What do you get? Please, advise.

I have another question.

How do i redirect all pages that are 2 levels deep and more to go to a certain page?

For example.

Old pages are

www.xxx.com/AlumniAndFriends/GivetoUs

I already made a redirect to make all pages that start with AlumniAndFriens (case sensitive) to now go to www.xxx.com/alumni

But now i want any 2 level deep pages and more to go to www.xxx.com/give

Example

FROM: /AlumniAndFriends/GivetoUs/Fund/Totals, or /AlumniAndFriends/GivetoUs/Fund/Totals/January/Results
TO: /give

It did not work because I have another redirect for the first directory.

I already have this redirct since I have a lot of pages with the directory /AlumniAndFriends/pagename

FROM: AlumniAndFriends/
TO: http://{siteurl}/alumni

But, I also have a subdirectory with its own pages AlumniAndFriends/GiveToBC/pagename that I want to redirect to

FROM: AlumniAndFriends/GiveToBC/
TO: http://{siteurl}/give

Yes,
it's almost simple. Move this rule:

FROM: AlumniAndFriends/
TO: http://{siteurl}/alumni

As the last one using item ordering. If more than one rule match with an URL, the first one is used...
