I'm thinking that is the componet which I'm looking for, but it seems not working correctly with my URIs.

Here is the deal:

I don't use sh404sef.

Not all of my urls are friendly.

The problem:
when the url is /quotations.html -> it does work
when is without the *.html prefix -> it does NOT work

.... I could live with the *.html urls, but like I said not all of my urls are friendly.

For example I've got url like this one:
/index.php/component/comname/?task=showCategory&catid=235

And it doesn't work for it at all.

remember two things:

1) ReDJ works also with partial URLs;

2) ReDJ uses regular expressions.

So, for an URL like this:



You should create an item as follow:



If you still have problem, send me the redirections you need (from, to), and I will tell you how to create items.

It does redirect the url, but how to say the component that I want redirect to a specific url which is an alias of the partial? Is it possible?

I'm getting 404 error now, because I don't have /destination.html (for example), and I need to say to the component that actually /destination.html is equal (alias) of the partial URL. Is that possible?

could you be more detailed?

You should use ReDJ to redirect a source URL to destination URL. Source could be an old non-existing page, or the alias you want to create. Destination MUST exists, and is the real page you want to show.
