I installed the component & plug-in and followed the instructions, all went smooth but I can't see the results. everything worked like a charm on my VM machine but on my live site it doesn't.
I'll give you an example of what i discovered while digging, maybe you have a clue for resolving it.
when creating the URI '/arts' for the URL - 'vodcastdirectory.com/arts' and then looking at the source i see no change, but when navigating to 'vodcastdirectory.com/index.php/arts' and checking the source i see the Tag Meta information. but the url with the 'index.php' is wrong and leads to a wrong template.
Do you have an idea for resolving it. I love this component and i will love to use it.

if Tag Meta seems to works in some cases maybe this is not a problem related to Tag Meta configuration. If you create an item with URI equal to "/arts", it should be applied both to /index.php/arts and to /arts. If this doesn't happens in the latter case , please, check that there aren't other components/plugin/settings that do the same thing AFTER Tag Meta (i.e. plugin order is important). Usually, if this is the problem, it should be solved moving Tag Meta plugin as the last system plugin.

If not, I can help you to find the issue (it would be great if you provide me a "test" system backend access).

The plug-in is placed as the last one in the system plug-ins.
My test site is local, i don't have a live test area, if you want i can let you in the back-end of my live site so you can take a look and maybe pinpoint the problem.

I don'y know if this is helpful but i just discovered that "<meta name="generator" content=" field is being changed by Tag Meta, it's the only field that is effected by the plug-in.

At first look it seems there's a problem with SOBI2. I don't know this CCK so well, so gimme some time to make a test on my local system.

I'll give you an answer as soon as possible.

I can confirm that with SOBI2, and only if Joomla SEO setting "Use mod_rewrite" is enabled, Tag Meta wasn't not able to set meta info anymore.

I'm investigating to understand why, and let you know as soon as possible.

I've found that SOBI2 alter $_SERVER variables. As example, in sobi2.php, line 528:

$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] .= $k.'='.$v.'&';

So Tag Meta is not able to change meta info just because REQUEST_URI don't match anymore. A solution could be to use REDIRECT_URL (set redirect mode to yes in the plugin). On my system it works, but in your case it seems variable was not set. Could you please send me your .htaccess file?
