I am havin g the same problem as a previous poster. My system:

Hi,
the problem should be that you MySQL 4 version seems to not support collation:

Database Collation: N/A (mySQL < 4.1.2)

And the error is:

Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'default CHARSET=utf8'

So, you should replace the attached file in your zip, and retry to install component. I've removed the part "type=MyISAM default CHARSET=utf8".
