Regarding redirects; I have attached my .htaccess file and I have over 150 redirects from a site redesign.
Can you please tell me what is the advantage of redirecting these url's using redj as opposed to the htaccess file?
also, please let me know how to setup these redirects using redj?

Lastly; the post below where you mention about putting the macro as html in a new page 404;

Does this mean, I should firstly create a new article, insert that macro as html into the article
and not sure what to do from there?

principle is the same but ReDJ is a little bit more flexible to manage compared to .htaccess, expecially when you have a lot of redirect to implement. And not all the users have possibility to manage .htaccess file.

About documentation, as soon as I'll release ReDJ 2.0, there will be a good tutorial to start using ReDJ. But for a basic usage, is not so difficult as it seems.

You just need do add into component items for redirect you need. Plugin will do the work for you (so, it must be enabled). Also, it is better to put the plugin as the first one between system plugins, to avoid conflict with other redirection extensions.

OK, the redirects seem to be working now.
However, I am now wondering what to do about all the redirects that are already setup in my htaccess file? should I just leave them as they are? or should I add all of those redirects to the redj list of redirects?

It's up to you.

If I was you, I'd like to have all redirection together in the same place, so I'll migrate them into ReDJ step-by-step.
